that we get so accustomed
to them always being there,
that when they go missing
we still think they are there.
It is only when something else happens,
that we suddenly realise,
that it is not there,
leaving us scratching our heads
wondering where and when
it had disappeared.
Our brain gets accustomed to seeing things
and it takes a while for it to register
when some things have gone.
