And mosquitos kept at bay
By scented charcoal mists.
This chilly moonlit night
Comes to visit with these thoughts.
Winter seems to have a last finger hold
Before unfolding new offerings anticipated.
Too many sunrises have come
To find me awakening wishing to be touched.
I will dress and walk feeling stalked by chirping birds.
Hoping this Spring
Finds routine in my steps with someone who catches
My breath…
And willing to surrender!
Believing its adventure that must be seized,
To please someone special found!
