That’s what we want
But,
Some dreams,
Just gather, ever changing
Clouds
Some white, some gray,
Ever changing shapes,
Some sad, some gay
Life is just that way,
What we want
Often times
Is not,
What we get,
What destiny wrote
In its secret book,
One day
Or even what we wish
Our cards would say,
Life is like a Play
Where not always,
Do we get the role
The starring character,
We though one day
We’d play.
Promised land?
No longer calling
Far away, the dreams are moaning,
Far away, my love is falling
Gone away, in early morning
God, I pray,
Can’t keep on mourning
Sadness grips,
There is no dawning
From my eyes,
Tears are so storming,
What to do?
There’s no returning
Back to where,
Love was once burning
Ashes smolder,
You grow colder
Sweet repose,
Come take me over
What to do,
When all love’s over,
And you find
That nothing matters,
Once all dreams
Are gone and shattered!
And the Wind,
Is so much colder.
