underneath a golden harvest moon.
They were watched by the Forrest creatures
whose eyes blinked in the night
like a thousand stars.
Their voices carried on the wind
like lover’s silent whispers
as the music soothed
all sadden souls
in the sleepy hallow
near the end of summers fair
lasting until dawn awoke
from its sleeping slumber
turning night back into day.
