So make the most of the time you’ve been granted and make the most of every hour and every day
Our biological clock it never does stop ticking and time doesn’t wait as somebody wise did say.
In less than fifty years to me it will not matter though I may live on to be very old and gray
A few who knew me in passing may even mention ’twas time he went the old bugger had his day,
‘Twas time he went he did have a good innings for some one else ’twas time that he made way
He’s cost the taxpayer us who paid his pension and one less for us for to have to pay.
We hear so much about long dead presidents and monarchs but talk cannot bring them back from the dead
And they won’t hear the judgements of the living or if good or bad about them has been said
They well may have the most expensive casket but they may as well lay in an unmarked grave
For it will not matter to you if you died wealthy and famous
or if you died a coward’s death or if you died brave.
The most important people not important although a life of luxury they enjoy
Their money cannot keep them amongst the living just like the pauper they too one day must die
A truly important person would live forever and though the deeds of the greats we may recall
The grim reaper than any of them more important for he is the one who claimed them after all.
