But I believe Darwin though you believe whom you please
That our long dead ancestors came down off the trees.
Yes I believe Darwin on all fours we did walk
And in any of the languages known to humans I’m sure we did not talk
But how we grew to be so clever that surely beats me
Suppose the road to great achievements was our destiny.
Humans have gone to Planets far beyond the stars
And ’tis said humans one day may well live on Mars
For the sun it may well burn our World to a crust
And Planet Earth will then become known as the Planet of Dust.
Old Darwin was clever a genius of his time
And his theory has long outlived the death of rhyme
And I believe Darwin though many say he
Was wrong in his thinking and with him disagree.
