He is walking slowly towards a vendor,
Inside weekly market with free will,
Putting a towel on his neck
With his half bent position,
He is watching goods displayed.
Like a child he has eagerness,
Like a dreamy boy he is moving,
People and shopkeepers are busy,
The man is moving ahead with joy,
The time is ringing through aging,
Still the hope of youth is alive.
The villager old man walking far miles
He has arrived to this market,
He has not felt tiredness at all,
Realizing life as a precious gift
He thanks God for giving him strength.
He has brought a little coin,
It is given by his grandson to him,
He will buy fried nuts and gram
Chewing little in his edentulous mouth
He will smile for a while for next day,
He will buy a colourful toy of plastic
To play with his great-grandchildren,
He will also buy a pair of slippers,
With a single coin he has many dreams.
By the help of a bamboo stick
He is walking little and taking rest
Then he is walking after a breath,
He has arrived to the market
His dreams will be fulfilled.
