As once I was like you
A solid piece
Useful to every one
And inside me held the worth of the world
So pride went to the seventh sky
But he could not stayed there for long
As he felt very lonely and isolated
And found there no boughs to hang upon
Rather he saw cold shoulders and winkle brows
Of the greater bodies, bigger stars
After being humiliated, he changed course
And chose to come down on amicable floor
But alas! Before he could
Humility had stolen the ladder
So instead of having a smooth gliding
He had a thundering crash on the ground
Since then I am a devil’s snow
House moss of a fallen angel
Rolling lint of the roads
Following your every step
I worship your feet
But tread on me with care
Never ever disdain
Or look upon me frowning
Otherwise, I know better
How to rise and dance upon your head.
