And though he’s lived now for twenty years in Australia his heritage he never will deny
He still talks of his old Homeland New Zealand and he’ll be a kiwi till the day he die.
He cheers on the All Blacks against Australia the love of Homeland with the migrant stay
The patriotic fellow in his early forties will still be a kiwi when he’s old and gray
And though his wife and their son and daughter are Australian true to New Zealand Jomo will remain
Why absence only makes the heart grow fonder is something that is not hard to explain.
Big Jomo is the life of every party and he dances the haka when he takes the floor
And he seems a very fit and nimble fellow for one who is quite close to forty four
And he’s well liked by everyone who know him a warm hearted fellow in him nothing cold
And he has gone out of his way to help out others one well might say he has a ‘heart of gold’.
He hails from Rotorua the Thermal City a place for it’s hot springs that’s known far and wide
And his patriotism and love of his Homeland are things from others Jomo will not hide
A man respected and admired by many and his friends in numbers seem to multiply
And this dark brown fellow from green old New Zealand will be a Kiwi till the day he die.
