The smiling man
Hiding the pain
Yes, no doubt
The childhood is not to be talked about
The parents were poor
But never asked help from next door
I remembered them conversing
As if slowly rehearsing
“The boy shall bring shine our name”
I felt shamed as there was no scope to claim
I decided to realize their dream and fulfill
I had time still
I chose national defense service
Which then looked to me full of promises?
Though father passed away so soon
Mother was alive and I was easily blown
With her kind words and inspiration
She was the only person with pure relation
“Your son is brave” neighbors always kept her cool
She thought my life was purposeful
Mother earth is to be protected
So she never objected
I loved her more n more
There are no words to adore
I shed tears when feel alone
I ask often” where have you gone”?
