Mick Keeffe and Patrick Looney they both now rest in peace
For each of us in some future day from life’s cares a release.
Two quiet and honourable fellows they never craved renown
Devoted to their wives and children and they loved old Millstreet Town
They worked hard for their livelihood back when times were more tough
But for life’s challenges that faced them they proved good enough.
From Millstreet in Duhallow they may well be gone
But with those who knew them good memories of them are bound to live on
For to help out others they went out of their way
And they always did work hard for their every pay.
They had lived in Millstreet Town for many years
But let us not recall them in sorrow and tears
Hard working family men and an asset to the State
And their successful lives we ought to celebrate.
