That brings, such peace
Such equanimity,
The mind does stray
So far away,
This lovely feeling,
Takes away
The somber cares,
Of day to day
And fills the heart
With joyful chant
For peace is Poetry’s,
Great grant.

Today
The light is somber,GrayThen comes that empty feeling,That just won’t go away.Frustration is a partner,Not easy to dismiss,It hangs around,No happy sound,Just softly does it hiss.Ups and Downs,Are part of Life,What other can I say?You can’t be happy all the timeLife just isn’t that way.
Leave it to Poets,
Like roses have feelings,And poems have wings.Not really that silly,Roses may hurt,When clipped from their bushAnd delicate poems,May enter your heartThen fly away with it,Never to part.Not easy being a poet,Juggling words around,Giving verse musical meaning.Only, when right words are found.
