Water sooths the aching heart,
You flow with it, to the light,
Out of the dark.
Movement,
Of the heart,
Or ticking bomb?
Waiting to explode
As time erodes.
Time,
A smooth schemer,
Makes you think
There’s still time left,
As the thickened grains of sand,
In the hourglass of life
Slowly gain, the upper hand.
Life,
The secret mystery,
Of all the times,
For some uncivilized barbarians
Not worth a sac of dimes.
You,
The one to be found,
Long overdue
Love,
No one can explain its origin,
Nor why so deeply felt,
So way within,
For some malfeasant fools,
It may even be a sin.
