Entertained on the street some quite pleasant to hear
For one day to Mortlake they bring joy and cheer.
The street entertainers the humble unsung
Of all sorts of music the old and the young
Country and Western and Celtic, Pop, Folk, Rock and Blues
And Jazz and Reggae of the street entertainers people with their own views
On life people who never follow the crowd
They may seem rough around the edges and their music seem loud
For a few dollars in their tin they gladly entertain
They love what they do though so little their gain.
At Mortlake on April the first was the buskers day out
And people flocked into the small Town from many miles about
For to listen to buskers from places near and far
Some arrived by motorbike and many came by car.
