And he wears a monk’s brown uniform and from life he seeks no gain
And he preach you won’t see heaven if in life you know no pain.
Through the length and breadth of Sherbrooke he wander far and wide
And his faithful heeler ‘Sister Dog’ is always at his side
And he walks from upper Selby all the way to Belgrave Town
And from there he walks to Bayview Road to visit his mate Shane Brown.
The wandering monk of Sherbrooke is no longer on the dole
As he feel that hand outs from the State do nothing for the soul
And when he say god will take care of him most with him disagree
But he gets by without money and of worries he feel free.
Through the length and breadth of Sherbrooke his is a well known face
The long haired monk of Selby last of a dying race
He walks the roads on bare feet with ‘Sister Dog’ his mate
And though he doesn’t have any money he has food on his plate.
