Our present was so short
But forgetting you,
Will be my Tragedy,
Practically, impossible!
For I learned
To love you,
Like the rose,
Loves the earth,
That hugs her,
And nurtures her roots,
Sustaining her beauty,
Her home and her truth.
I will be orphaned,
And deprived of all light
Without you,
The light that emanated
From your bountiful spirit,
That I shared, so closely
And loved, so much!
What will I do
Without you?
As the sun sets
Over the empire
Of our dreams
And the sea swallows
Up, the horizon
Leading, to no where.
