lighting everything it touched
to something precious not made by man.
No longer was the water a dark and mysterious foe,
but the sun colour of honeycomb
as it rushed to meet the shore.
The sunset had the Midas touch:
reverting every colour to one of gold,
the darker it was the gold was brighter
and surrounded everything with a warm glow.
