The terror of the forest,
The horror of the woods.
The spark of light into
The eyes,
The anger frightening
Ever thirsty, ever hungry.
Tiger, tiger
The terror of the forest,
The horror horrifying
And it in its brutality.
The bloody brute of the forest
Untamable, swift and proud
And arrogant
Ever ready to pounce upon.
Tiger, tiger
Lying in wait
With the paws bloody and sturdy,
The jaws in blood.
The bloody brute of the forest
Roaring, roaring as such
The birds flying over
Stricken with terror and horror.
The animals running for cover,
For life,
Tiger, tiger,
The bloody tiger.
