Like a dove in my innocent voice,
I am singing this night song.
Oh dear God, you grant peace
And you take my all burdens,
For today I want to take rest,
Tomorrow I shall work again,
I shall sleep for a while,
Before going to bed let me sing,
A nice hymn for you in sweetness.
You are father and I am child,
Oh dear God, my dear eternal father,
I am just hearing your sweet flute,
In this deep silence I capture rhythm,
This night is very calm and tender,
Let me sleep and you come in dream.
When I shall sleep,
I shall see you in dream,
I shall swing in your lovely arms,
You will touch me with your light,
Swinging in your lap for a while
I shall take rest still morning’s arrival
A fresh day and a hope you will send.
