penned this
beautiful song.
The suffering,
pain, misery,
and distress
they were
evidently
experiencing
from the hands
of their enemies,
brought them
to the precipice
of despair,
but it also caused
them to cry out
to the Lord a
prayer of desperation.
(Ref. Psalm 42: 1 of the Holy bible)
(While the psalm is attributed to the ‘sons of Korah’, the text is written in the first person singular. The psalm can be divided into two parts, each ending with the same line (verses 6 and 12 in the Hebrew, Wikipedia) .
